CSU Ventures Creative Works Commercialization Award 2017
Almost all of the work done at CSU impacts the world, sometimes that work can be commercialized with a little help. CSU Ventures, Inc. offers a research fund available to CSU innovators who create intellectual property outside what is protected by patents, creative works. Creative works are protectable via copyright, trademark, or design patent. CSU Ventures is a non-profit entity designated by CSU to protect and commercialize intellectual properties created by Colorado State University researchers. The award is granted on an open and competitive process that is described below.
Creative Work General Information:
Total Available Fund: $40,000
Expected Award Size and Numbers: $5-15k per project and 3-5 awards are expected.
Eligibility: Any CSU faculty, researchers and graduate students (with PI approval) in disciplines that generate creative works. Priority considerations will be given to applicants from the following colleges at CSU: Liberal Arts, Business, Health and Human Sciences and the Warner College of Natural Resources.
Protectable Intellectual Property: Funded projects are expected to generate protectable intellectual properties with potential commercial value.
Deadline: Letter of Intent is Due Monday January 30th, 2017, 4PM MDT
Invitation to full proposal: Tuesday February 7th, 2017. Selected applicants will be asked to submit a full proposal by February 27th, 2017.
