Application Overview
Identifying Information: General information about the TTO, the research scientist and the project proposal including grant request (not to exceed $150,000). It is important to note that the review committee may recommend a grant for an amount other than that requested in the application.
Project Narrative: Includes summary, project plan and commercialization sections, all in laymen’s terms. The summary should be 1 page or less (do not include confidential information). The project plan should be 3 pages or less. The commercialization section should be 2 pages or less, and particular attention should be paid to addressing the anticipated market potential, current/competing technology and market need, and long term outcomes in terms of Colorado jobs and investment.
Work Plan: This section should be based off of the project narrative, and include specific timeline milestones in months that relates to the budget where applicable and ideally spans 12-18 months and no more than 24 months.
Budget: Provide a project budget that supports above work plan, and include information about other funding sources and matching funds. Of note- indirect costs exceeding the 8% allowed may not be considered part of the required match. The itemized budget and narrative should be no longer than one page.
Biographical Information: Curriculum vitae or a short narrative with relevant background and accomplishments for each for the key investigators and project developers. This should be no longer than two pages with appropriate links to other information.
Office of Technology Transfer Selection Process: This section will be completed and submitted by CSURF.
Educational Outreach: At some point during the grant period, the grant recipient must present the research project to elementary and secondary school science teachers employed in the school district where the research is being developed. This section describes your preliminary plans for fulfilling this requirement. |
