Nipa Khair received her bachelor’s degree 2019 in Textile Engineering from Bangladesh University of Textiles, Bangladesh. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Colorado State University in Professor Sue James research lab. She uses computational modeling and in vitro heart valve testing to optimize cardiac implant durability. Her work primarily focuses on developing polymeric cardiovascular implant that are long-lasting, biomimetic, and inexpensive. Nipa enjoys hiking, camping, gardening, and cooking.
