In 2010, Sarah left Stephens & Associates to pursue a graduate education at CSU, completing both an MS (research focus was the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program, Extension) and a PhD (research focus was maternal and child health/chronic disease risk, and the Healthy Eating Index) in Nutrition Science from the Food Science & Human Nutrition Department in the College of Health & Human Sciences.
